Why this project exists

SamReadsBook is a small library of reading and language tasks tuned for early learners who thrive with bright visuals, simple prompts, and quick wins. We built it after watching students light up when directions stayed short and they could immediately tap or drag to respond.

What you’ll find

  • Decks organized by format—matching, sequencing, wh- questions, and more.
  • Visual supports with clear images, large tap targets, and consistent layouts.
  • Notes on scaffolding prompts, fading help, and celebrating progress.

How to use the library

  1. Pick a task format that matches a current goal.
  2. Preview the cards on a tablet or laptop—everything is touch-friendly.
  3. Pair each digital task with natural environment practice to generalize skills.

Caregiver tip

Model one example before you begin. After two quick successes, fade your prompt and offer a choice for the next card.
