Match-Two Letter Sounds
This activity teaches early reading by practicing simple two-letter sound parts like “ma,” “sa,” “ti,” and “po.” Each one is made from one consonant + one vowel, and students learn to recognize it, say it out loud, and match it correctly in short, structured practice. This builds the foundation for blending sounds together later to read short words (for example, “ma” + “t” → “mat”), and supports faster, more accurate decoding for beginning readers and learners who benefit from explicit step-by-step phonics practice.
