Label Two Letter Sounds
This activity teaches early reading by practicing simple two-letter sound parts like “ma,” “sa,” “ti,” and “po.” Students learn to look at the two letters, say the sounds smoothly together, and match the correct one in short, structured practice. This builds the foundation for reading because many early words are made by joining these parts (for example, “ma” + “p” → “map”). It helps students become faster and more accurate with phonics, especially if they benefit from clear, step-by-step instruction and lots of repetition.
